Tumour Takedown
Queen Mary University of London
Information
This game was developed for the CanBuild research project at Barts Cancer Institute, Queen Mary University of London. The CanBuild researchers are developing bioengineering techniques to grow human cancer cells in isolation in the lab, with the vision to provide better ways of testing new cancer drugs.
Tumour Takedown is a game in which players take on the role of a cancer research scientist.
Players learn how tumours are made of lots of different cell types and how new cancer treatments can harness the powerful immune system to fight cancer.
The game is available as a mobile app for iOS and Android, as an interactive installation at Centre of the Cell and as an interactive mobile exhibition.
